Greene County Ram wrestlers were in Winterset Dec. 3 for a dual meet against the Winterset Huskies and the Carroll Tigers. The Rams filled only four weight classes.
Greene County lost to the Tigers 58-12. Sophomore Kane Borgeson (113) won by fall in 1:21 against Bryce Wuebker. Sophomore Isaac Ireland (138) won by forfeit. Senior Isaiah Yoder (170) lost by fall in 1:37 to Eric Bruening, and junior Hunter Ruth (195) lost by decision 2-7 to Ethan Rummel.
The Rams lost to the Huskies 69-6. Borgeson won by fall in 1:31 over Trent Cook. Yoder lost be decision 5-8 to Caleb Grose. Ireland lost by fall in 1:58 to Blake Ryerson, and Ruth lost by fall in 1:19 to Parker Maynes.
In JV wrestling, Cayden Gerdes won by decision 9-5.
The Rams wrestle Saturday in Grimes at a tournament hosted by Dallas Center-Grimes.
